Ladies Evening 5th February 2016

The first main event for ladies was held at the golf club last friday, and what a fantastic start to the season's festivities.  113 ladies all dressed in their finery attended a night of fine music, fine wine and fine food,  An interesting version of The West End meets Newark ladies!
Karen and the bar staff had everyone served in good time, and everyone was seated by just after 7.30.  The meal service went like clockwork, and I can honestly say that even with 113 ladies there the food "flew" out of the kitchen, all credit to Nick Karen and the team.  The food was absolutely superb, and I have never had a better meal at the club - and comments supporting my thoughts were a repeat theme throughout the night with nothing but glowing comments from both members and guests alike, thanks Matt and team!  Here are some actual comments from some of the ladies attending : -
"I would like to say a big thank you and congratulations on a successful evening.  I think I can honestly say that everyone enjoyed the whole evening and the meal was great"
"Best night ever"
"I would have paid the £24 for just the food, it was excellent"
"If we tried to organise this night at Belton Woods we would have had less of our own members attend than have came to this do!"
"Just to say thanks for a fab night - really really enjoyed it!
"Great night food good, all my ladies thoroughly enjoyed it thanks again and well done Newark Golf Club"
"Hi Rina, really good night, food excellent, Kev - brill, hope you enjoyed it too! "
"Just got in from Newark Golf Clubs Lady Captains Evening hosted by Rina Ozolins (Lady Captain). I would just like to thank you for the wonderful entertainment and would also like to thank the catering staff for a superb meal , Thank you very much from a very satisfied guest."
The first half was a West End musical section by local all round entertainer Keven P was an absolute pleasure to listen to and something very different with some classic theme tunes and songs from Les Miserables, Phantom and Miss Saigon.  The second half Keven "upped" the tempo and had everyone on the dance floor with the first song of his second half act.  With ladies still dancing at midnight the night was rounded off with some classic disco music with lights to match!

The Ladies Captains' charity for 2016 - Brain Tumour Research and Headsmart @ Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham will benefit from a fantastic night here at the club, as an amazing £831 was raised on the night, so again thank you to all the ladies who made this possible.

The professionalism of the staff on the night, and their attention to detail throughout made my job as organiser a pleasure to be part of, so thank you all.

For anyone who did not attend, put it in your diaries for next year, as I am sure that Carole will do an equally good job!
